COVID-19 cases are rising in our community. We are fortunate to have high vaccination rates, with large numbers of people having had a third booster vaccination. However, we have now reached the point of having over 4,000 new cases of COVID-19 infections a day. Very few of these people with infections will need to leave their homes and seek medical help in hospital type settings. There are many people with very few symptoms or even no symptoms.
There are many things we can do to help manage a relative, partner or friend, who has become infected with COVID-19, and there are many very useful information sources, from the WA Department of Health.
There are a few scenarios where new treatments are available to treat those with an infection of COVID-19 and when more details are available, we will be posting more information on the practice website and other social media platforms.
In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to discuss any concerns that you have with our clinical staff. We can manage most enquiries with a telehealth consultation.
