Stirk Medical Group is a mixed billing practice. Fees are outlined as per the fee table below.
Please note that as independent contractors billing is at the discretion of each Doctor.
Bulk Billing for Chronic Disease Management Plans (Care Plan) and Health Assessments (HA) apply across all locations.
All billing on Saturdays and Weekends will be billed privately - No Bulk Billing.

GP Mental Health Treatment Plan reviews are consultation based. Minor procedure fees will be discussed at your consultation. Medicals include commercial drivers licence or other medicals. Iron infusion and ear microsuction out-of-pocket costs depend on the applicable rebate.
Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card. All workers compensation and motor vehicle accident patients are required to pay their accounts at the time of consultation until a letter of liability is produced from their insurance company.
AppointmentsOur appointment system caters for standard face to face, long face to face, telehealth video and phone consults, skin checks, workers compensation, vaccines and preventative healthcare. If you need more time with your Doctor, please arrange an extended consultation when booking your appointment.
DNA Policy (Missed Appointments)Stirk Medical Centre offers patients flexibility when booking or rescheduling appointments. You can cancel or change your appointment without incurring any fees, we simply ask you to notify us within 2 hours of your appointment time. Bookings made online can easily be managed through HotDoc. Missed or cancelled appointments with less than 2 hours' notice will incur a fee of $50.00. Fees are charged automatically, if you feel you have extraordinary or emergency circumstances, please discuss with your Doctor who will give your matter due consideration. Our reception staff are unable to make decisions on behalf of the Doctors.
Waiting TimesSometimes GPs are delayed by patients with urgent or complex issues. We apologise if you're asked to wait and thank you for your patience.
After HoursOur opening hours are 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8am to 12noon only at our Canning Rd Kalamunda site.If you need health advice after hours, please call HealthDirect on 1800 022 222 or For emergencies, please attend St John of God Midland Hospital emergency department at 1 Clayton Street Midland.
Home VisitsExisting patients of Stirk Medical that require review after hours have two further options.
- Locum doctor service called Dial-A-Doctor who will review you at your home. This can be obtained by calling 1300 030 030. Please note this is a BULK BILLED service, so no out-of-pocket costs if you have a Medicare card.
- A personalised medical service from a Stirk Medical clinician that is provided on site. This service is available from 6 pm to 11 pm on weekdays only. Please call 9293 3022 for further details.
Important Notice Regarding Firearm Medicals
We would like to inform our patients that the doctors at our clinic will not be routinely conducting firearm medical assessments.
If you have concerns regarding this decision, you are welcome to discuss the matter with your long-term GP, who may be able to provide further guidance.
