Dr Michael Civil

Mike is a UK trained doctor, who along with his wife Cathy, has been working as a General Practitioner in the Perth Hills for many years. He has experience across all areas of General Practice and is a strong advocate for both his patients and his profession.
Dr Richard Albuquerque
MBBS (Hons) BMedSci FRACGP
Richard is a WA trained doctor who graduated from the University of WA in 2000. Richard joined Stirk Medical in 2005 after training in Perth, Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs. He has completed additional training in skin cancer medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology and emergency medicine. Richard's special interests include skin cancer medicine, diabetes, older patient care and palliative care. He consults from our Mead Street rooms during the week and works some Saturdays at our Kalamunda rooms.

Dr Chris Burgin
MBChB FRACGP MRCGP BA Hons QTS
Chris is a UK trained doctor who has been working at Stirk Medical since 2014. He enjoys the wide variety that General Practice offers with a special interest in child health, older patient care, mental health and chronic and complex health condition management. Chris is experienced in joint injections including corticosteroid and protein-rich plasma (PRP) injections. As a supervisor of medical students and General Practice registrars, and a senior lecturer at UWA Medical School, Chris is passionate about sharing his knowledge with doctors of the future. Dr Kevin Nikellys
MBBS BSc FRACGP DRCOG DCH
Kevin is a well-rounded GP who enjoys working across all areas of General Practice, including mental health, men's health, women's health, skin checks, and Implanon and IUCD insertion and removal. Kevin provides patient care from Kalamunda Stirk.

Dr Narelle Kealley

Narelle is experienced in all aspects of General Practice with a particular interest in women's health and child health. Narelle is a teacher of clinical skills to medical students at UWA.
Dr George Ruiz
MBChB FRACGP MRCGP
George is originally from Scotland and graduated from The University of Glasgow in 1996 before qualifying as a family GP in 2003 (MRCGP). During his training, he worked predominantly in paediatrics (DCH), before undertaking additional training in emergency medicine, psychiatry and obstetrics and gynaecology (DRCOG). George joined the Stirk Medical team in 2011. He has interest and experience in all areas of General Practice including antenatal care, child health, women's health and men's health. He performs corticosteroid joint injections, minor surgery and driving and pre-employment medical examinations. George consults with patients from our Kalamunda rooms.
Dr Peter Richardson
Peter is a very experienced General Practitioner having practiced medicine for over 48 years. He has a loyal patient base at Stirk Kalamunda.
Dr Nancy Burge
MBBS MRCGP FRACGP DFSRH
I graduated from University College, London in 1982 and worked in Brighton until I moved to Scotland in 1997. I lived and worked on the Isle of Skye for 17 years, and my last practice was a remote rural practice in Duvegan. I moved to Perth, Australia in 2015, and gained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice within a year of joining the Stirk Medical Group.
I enjoy the diversity of general practice and the challenge of keeping up with new developments and practicing evidence-based medicine. I am interested in all aspects of general practice, including managing complex and chronic medical conditions, and I have a special interest in sexual health for both men and women including contraception counselling, insertion of contraceptive devices (Mirena and Implanon) and menopause management.
I am a LGBTQI & kink-aware GP and advocate, and +ve supportive. At all times I respect the confidentiality and individuality of my patients and I have good listening skills which makes it easy for patients to open up and be helped towards better health. I am also a supervisor of UWA medical students and doctors training to be GPs.
Dr Daniel Stringer
Dan is a UK trained doctor who has been part of the Stirk Medical team since moving to the Perth Hills in 2015. He enjoys building long-term therapeutic relationships with patients and their families. Dan has experience across all aspects of General Practice including child health, mental health, older patient care and chronic disease management. Dan has additional qualifications in skin cancer medicine, child health and palliative care. He primarily consults from Edney Stirk, with dedicated skin cancer clinics and minor surgery lists at both Edney Road and Kalamunda surgeries.
Dr Belinda Ford
BMBS FRACGP BSc (Biomed Sci) (Hons)
Belinda undertook her medical training in Adelaide and Darwin, graduating in 2007. She worked in hospital and community settings in Darwin, Katherine, Auckland and Perth before completing her GP training. Belinda enjoys all areas of General Practice with a special interest in indigenous health, adolescent health, women's health, chronic disease management, mental health and eating disorder management. She works three days a week at Newburn Road surgery.
Dr Hao Yang
BMBS FRACGP
Hao is a WA trained doctor who spent the majority of her hospital training at Royal Perth Hospital. She has an interest in all areas of medicine, from preventative and women’s health to chronic condition management (including diabetes and heart disease). Hao's passion lies in bridging the gap between hospital and community medicine for patients with complex medical needs. Additionally, Hao is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She works four days a week at our Edney Road surgery.
Dr Dave Jones
Dave undertook his medical training in Manchester UK graduating with honours in 2007. He developed a love for Australia (and in particular Western Australia) during a country-wide backpacking trip and subsequently returned to train with the RFDS in Kalgoorlie. This experience not only fueled his love of medicine, but also of aviation, and Dave obtained his private pilot's licence in 2017. Dave is a passionate believer in the enormous benefits of primary care in preventing illness and improving the long-term health of the community. Dave has special interests in dermatology (skin cancer surveillance and surgery), women’s health, men’s health, chronic disease management, minor surgery and aviation medicine. He is an accredited Designated Aviation Medical Examiner or DAME. Additionally, Dave is actively involved in teaching the next generation of doctors.
Dr Caroline Smith
Caroline has interest and experience right across General Practice including chronic disease management, mental health and child health. She has a special interest in women’s health including implanon insertion and removal and aesthetic medicine (dermal filler and wrinkle relaxing injections, skin rejuvenation and micro needling). See Skin At Stirk for more details about her aesthetic medicine offerings. Caroline works at our Newburn Road and Mead Street surgeries.
Dr Ewen McLean
Ewen is an experienced Perth Hills doctor who enjoys all aspects of family medicine. In particular he has interest in men's health, skin cancer checks and chronic disease management including diabetes, heart disease and respiratory disease. Ewen consults from our Kalamunda surgery.
Dr Suzanne Bicker
Suzanne enjoys working across all areas of General Practice with a special interest in women’s health, mental health and complex medical problems. She has training and experience in insertion of contraceptive devices.
Dr Sam Cogle
Sam is an Australian-trained doctor who joined Stirk Medical in 2021. Sam has quickly become a well-regarded member of the Stirk team who is thorough and caring in his approach. Sam consults at at Newburn Road surgery on week days and at Kalamunda surgery on some Saturdays.
Dr Kim Oates
GP Registrar
Dr Kim completed her medical degree in Adelaide in 2019 before settling in Western Australia in 2020 with her young family. She has gained a broad range of experiences across various disciplines working in both major metropolitan hospitals and regional health services spanning from Armadale to Port Hedland. Dr Kim is interested in all facets of general practice and is passionate about preventative health care. She enjoys working with and empowering patients to take ownership of their health and wellbeing. She is particularly interested in the broad areas of women’s health, men’s health, youth & adolescent health, sexual health, and chronic disease management. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends visiting local cafes, restaurants, parks, beaches and the football. Dr Kim works from our Edney Rd surgery 4 days a week.
